Facebook provided the FBML tags for creating dialog boxes for use in apps, but it has been long since FBML tags were deprected by Facebook. In this tutorial I will show you how to create a popup window dialog box using the FB JavaScript SDK that you can readily use in your FB apps.

Recently I was developing a Facebook app for a client which requires to invite user friends. For this I used the FB.ui apprequests method. I also need to get the user ids of Facebook friends the user has invited. My initial approach was to print the response of the apprequests method, but it gave undefined object error. Here is what I tried initially and that didn’t return the userids.

I am here going to discuss solution to a particular scenario in which Internet Explorer 6/7/8 rejects your session. If your application works inside an iframe which belongs to another domain than the parent domain than IE will not be able to set cookies for it. Hence you could not work with session variables. A common example of an iframe application is facebook apps and facebook games.
